This ministry is one of the most peacefully ministries. It is an opportunity to serve your Church and spend peaceful time alone with our Lord while you are completing the ministry tasks.There are usually ten to twelve ministry members, that will volunteer for one month of service each year. This would be a great ministry for a family to volunteer to serve.

The Blessed linens and towels used during Mass are your responsibility. You are also responsible for refreshing the Pieta candles, by replacing the used candles with new, clean and or replace the votive cups, and cleaning the sand and adding new lighting sticks every Monday after the weekend Masses and Saturday before Mass along with some other miscelaneous cleaning duties like dusting the confessional etc.

It is also important to refresh the Pieta candles during the week, especially if you know (call Church office on Mondayafternoons) that there will be funerals, weddings, or other liturgical events scheduled for the week. This is especially important during the Advent, Christmas, Lenten, and Easter seasons.There are special care and cleaning instructions that must be carefully followed and will be reviewed with you upon the start of your service to this ministry.

These tasks are usually taken care of at a time that the church is not being used for special events. You will have a key to the Church, which will allow you to go into the Church when it is convenient for you and your schedule. It is important to remember that if you go after hours to always lock the doors behind you when you go into the Church and when you leave. You are welcome to bring a friend or spouse with you to assist you with this ministry.
